"I am another yourself."
Pantone's new Dualities palettes capture this dynamic interplay between light and darkness in 175 contrasting yet complementary New Age Pastels and Monochromatic Shadows. To celebrate the potential of these mystical shades, Pantone partnered with Janavi and fashion designer Bibhu Mahapatra on a collection of limited-edition shawls that transform color into wearable art.
The scenes are rooted in ikigai, the Japanese approach to happiness through balance, displaying optimistic beginnings and tranquil closures.
Janavi's skilled artisans relied on Pantone swatches to faithfully reproduce color on the textile, embroidery thread, chenille, paint, crystals and sequins that add texture and depth.
“Exploring the potential of this vast color spectrum together,
we were able to reveal the inherent beauty in duality and give it form and voice.”
